In 2025, CRBN was the first company to introduce a full-foam core in its premium line of pickleball paddles.

The TruFoam Genesis series was groundbreaking, but it was quickly joined by dozens of other full-foam paddles that flooded the market throughout the year. In an attempt to keep up, CRBN followed up the Genesis line with the release of the TruFoam Waves, which was a slightly more powerful version but didn't feel like a true upgrade.

Earlier this month, CRBN released their third iteration of the TruFoam series -- the TruFoam Barrage, which has been met with mostly positive reviews and is a clear step up from the previous TruFoam models.

CRBN TruFoam Barrage -- what's new

The CRBN TruFoam Barrage features three distinct foam layers.

Interior layer: Designed with oval cutouts to promote more flex and eliminate excess weight.

EVA foam ring: This is the biggest change from the prior TruFoam models. The EVA Foam ring around the interior layer creates a fully floating core, which adds pop and power while expanding the sweet spot.

Exterior layer: A more dense exterior foam adds perimeter weight for additional stability and "plow through" power.

The TruFoam Barrage is currently in stock and available in two shapes -- hybrid (CRBN4) and widebody (CRBN2). The elongated model with a long handle (CRBN1) and elongated model with a shorter handle (CRBN3) are only available for pre-order at this time.
