About Us:
The Kitchen is the largest media brand and community in the pickleball industry, boasting over 1.5 million members, followers, and subscribers. Think of us as the Barstool Sports for pickleball.

Position Overview:
Known for our commitment to creativity and quality design, we are seeking a talented designer to join our team as a paid Design Intern. This role will work directly with our Co-Founder and Creative Director to contribute to the creation of various design assets, graphics, and visuals essential to advancing The Kitchen's creative identity. The internship has potential to transition into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality graphics, including giveaway campaigns, pitch decks, Instagram news stories, logos, event flyers, YouTube thumbnails, Facebook graphics, article website images, paddle review graphics, merch mock-up designs, newsletter graphics, and more.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with the marketing and content teams to create visuals that complement their content.
  
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to feedback to meet urgent deadlines and last-minute requests.
  
  
• Assist our Creative Director with new merch designs and campaigns.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch (or Figma).
  
  
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skills in graphic design.
  
  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
  
• Understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  
  
• Interest in pickleball is required; while not necessary to be an avid player, having some knowledge or enthusiasm for the sport is important. It's a plus if the candidate loves pickleball.

• Must be in Austin and have a car to get to and from the office.

Located in the vibrant St. Elmo district of Austin, Texas, The Kitchen headquarters features a fully branded pickleball court, podcast studio, full bar, and plenty of great food spots nearby. Seriously, one of the coolest offices you can find.
