JOOLA teams up with Marshawn Lynch to release 'Beastmode' pickleball set

JOOLA has teamed up with former NFL running back and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch to release a pickleball paddle set exclusively on Amazon.

Lynch is best known for his powerful, punishing “Beastmode” running style. The nickname originated from a childhood coach who was struck by his aggressive and relentless play. By his second NFL season, Lynch had publicly embraced the moniker and trademarked “Beastmode” in 2008, eventually transforming it into a full-fledged brand.

Off the field, Lynch is an entrepreneur, actor and philanthropist. He founded the Fam 1st Family Foundation to support underserved youth in his hometown of Oakland for nearly two decades with mentorship, education and athletic opportunities.

Pickleball and the partnership with JOOLA is another way for Lynch to stay active in his community, he said.

He first learned of pickleball in 2018 and has gotten more into the game since he stopped playing football professionally.

“I had to find something to do in retirement to keep me active," he said in a news release. "I can pull up to Lifetime and always find a game. My cousin Marcus (Peters) likes to get down too, so we can hit the courts whenever and get a game in.”
