Gear

I've been using the JOOLA Tour Elite Pro pickleball bag for a couple months now, so I wanted to do a full review breaking down what I like about it and why I have moved it to the No. 1 spot on my list of the best bags designed specifically for pickleball.

For starters, it's big, and that's important to me. I'm usually carrying several paddles, a change of clothes, towel, shoes, snacks, a massage gun, etc. This bag fits it all with room to spare.

This is the bag you’ll see JOOLA’s pro players using, which makes sense because they usually need a lot of gear during long tournament days.

But it's not too big -- it still fits in an aircraft overhead bin, which is a huge plus if you're somebody who travels for pickleball events.

Below I'll dive into specific features I find useful and how I've made the most of the space provided in this bag. Let's cook!

Exterior

The exterior of this bag doesn't just look good -- it has held up very well over extended use, so durability is also a strong suit.

There are 7 pockets that can be accessed from the exterior:

-2 insulated paddle pockets, which can hold 3 paddles each.
-2 felt-lined pockets toward the top of the bag on the sides for valuables and accessories.
-2 larger pockets at the bottom of the bag on the sides, which are a good size for balls or other gear.
-Ventilated shoe compartment that is accessed from the bottom of the bag.

I really like that this bag has several good-sized pockets that are easily accessible without having to go digging through the main compartment. I keep my wallet/phone/keys in one pocket, a handful of balls in one pocket, all my paddle accessories (overgrips, edge tape, weighted tape, etc.) in one pocket and a bunch of snacks in the fourth pocket.

In addition to easy access to storage compartments, this bag also has multiple ways to carry and store it while you're at the courts:

-Backpack straps that can be easily tucked away when not in use
-Two straps on the front that allow you to carry it like a duffel bag when not using the backpack straps.
-Fence hook that folds into its own small pocket at the top.
-It also sits upright on its own if you're not using the fence hook, whereas a lot of pickleball bags tend to tip over if you try to stand them up.

It comes in seven different colors, so we bet you can find one you like. I prefer the black and yellow.

Interior

JOOLA did something unique with the way you access the interior main compartment. A dual-zipper flap unzips the entire length of the bag and folds out of the way, giving you extremely easy access to everything inside.

There's a good-sized void in the middle of the bag for bigger items, like a towel, massage gun, change of clothes. But there's also several smaller pockets inside that I use for things like sweatbands, some warm-up bands and there's a hook for your keys if you want them stored more safely inside the bag.

Simply put, this bag has everything I need and lets me keep all my gear organized. It's also the perfect size for a weekend pickleball trip, which is a huge bonus.
