It’s been a busy summer for world No. 1 women’s pickleball pro Anna Leigh Waters. She was featured on multiple New York City billboards, including one in Times Square, appeared in a live interview on SportsCenter during the MLP Mid-Season Tournament, attended the ESPY Awards, and on Wednesday night she threw out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game.

Waters attended the game with several other pickleball pros who participated in an exhibition outside Wrigley Field before Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. We also hear that she sang "Take me out to the ball game" during the seventh inning stretch, but haven't come across any video evidence yet.
Other pickleball pros in attendance at the game were Jack Munro, Connor Garnett, Leigh Waters and all four members of the Chicago Slice MLP team — James Ignatowich, Vivian Glozman, Max Freeman and Callie Smith.
Waters will take center stage this weekend at the Major League Pickleball Finals at Central Park in New York City. Her team, the New Jersey 5s, will play the Los Angeles Mad Drops in the semifinals.
Multiple matches this weekend will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, as well as a CBS national broadcast on Saturday afternoon. There also are some matches available on MSG Network and Tennis Channel, in addition to Pickleballtv and the Pickleballtv App.
