The Kitchen is one of the fastest-growing companies in pickleball and we’re seeking an experienced and talented e-commerce specialist to join our team. As Director of E-Commerce, this person will play a pivotal role in helping develop and optimize our strategy.
The Director of E-Commerce will maintain all our sales touch points — website, social links, online marketplaces, and aggregators — while overseeing affiliate strategies, merchandise and product sales, and the overall customer experience. This person will also help identify new e-commerce opportunities and revenue streams.
This person must be in Austin or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:
- Affiliate Marketing: Help our affiliate partners sell as much of their products as possible through affiliate links on our website and social platforms. Work with partners to stay up to date on upcoming new product releases and campaigns to ensure we’re first to advertise them.
- The Kitchen Merchandise/Products: Work with the creative team to develop merchandise, including hats, t-shirts, hoodies, and other future products. Oversee and optimize sales channels, including our website, retail stores, clubs, PPA/MLP tournaments, and Pickleball Central.
- E-commerce Platform Management: Enhance the platform to ensure seamless operation and exceptional user experience. Optimize website UX and flow for e-commerce success.
- Email Marketing: Manage email marketing campaigns, including segmenting lists to target customers effectively and maximize conversions.
- Social Advertising: Implement and manage social ad campaigns to drive e-commerce sales and brand awareness.
- Customer Service:
- Amazon Integration: Utilize Amazon and other marketplaces as needed to expand sales channels.
- Advertising Revenue: Maximize website and newsletter revenue through advertisements, working to create effective ad strategies that align with The Kitchen’s brand.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and content teams to align product offerings with audience interests and needs.
- Analysis: Analyze e-commerce metrics and market trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance.
- Trust Building: Establish The Kitchen as the go-to source for pickleball product recommendations and merchandise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a high-growth digital environment
- Ability to identify and execute new e-commerce opportunities and revenue streams
- High attitude and high aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and process-oriented
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush)
- Has at least a basic knowledge of pickleball.
