There are just two PPA Tour events remaining between now and the PPA Finals in early May.

That means there are limited opportunities for players to improve their standing in the points race ahead of the end-of-season championship in San Clemente, California.

The home stretch starts this week at the PPA Tour Sacramento Open, which is being held at Life Time Arden in Sacramento, California.

Pro qualifying took place on Monday and main-draw matches will start on Tuesday, with one round in every division to be played each day through Championship Sunday. This week's tournament is an Open, so it is worth 1,000 ranking points for the winners in each division.

Below is a look at where things stand in each division, and who is on the bubble to make it to the Finals -- the Top 8 in singles and mixed doubles and the Top 16 in men's and women's doubles will get an invite to San Clemente.

There are a few notable players who are skipping this week's event in Sacramento, including Anna Leigh Waters, Anna Bright, Hayden Patriquin and Christian Alshon. That opens the door wide open in mixed doubles and women's singles.

Of note: While Ben Johns is not playing mixed doubles, he is in the draw in men's singles. The last time we saw him on the singles court, he finished second to Chris Haworth at the Mesa Cup in February.

The weather this week in Sacramento looks great for pickleball, with temps in the high 60s/low 70s, light winds and no rain in the forecast as of Monday.

Matches on Tuesday and Wednesday will be streamed on the PPA Tour Streamed Courts YouTube channel, then will be broadcast on on Pickleballtv or the Pickleballtv App from Thursday-Sunday.

Here's a look at the schedule and draws for each event:
