The Major League Pickleball trade deadline was Sunday, and several teams made moves at the last minute.
Sunday was also the keeper deadline, meaning teams have made their decisions on which players to drop from their 2025 rosters (most teams were required to drop at least one player). The keeper selections will be announced Monday afternoon, according to the league.
Teams will then fill out their remaining roster spots via the free-agency draft, which is scheduled for Feb. 27.

Below is a list of all the trades that were made during the first offseason trade window, and updated rosters for each team that has made moves.
BAY AREA BREAKERS
Feb. 15 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Pablo Tellez from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Blaine Hovenier from SoCal.
- SoCal Hard Eights receive Ivan Jakovljevic and cash considerations from Bay Area.
Feb. 10 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Samantha Parker & cash considerations from Las Vegas and Ivan Jakovljevic from Carolina.
- Carolina Hogs receive Angie Walker & DJ Young from Bay Area and James Delgado & cash considerations from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Brandon French & Liz Truluck from Carlolina.
Feb. 6 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Mya Bui.
- Miami Pickleball Club receives Alix Truong.
UPDATED ROSTER
Bay Area Breakers: Pablo Tellez, Samantha Parker, Mya Bui
Bay Area was one of the most active teams during the first offseason trade window, and they are heading into the free-agency draft with a solid core to build on. Tellez has competed at the Challenger Level the past two seasons, but almost everybody in pickleball believed he was capable of being a Premier Level starter. It looks like he'll get that opportunity, and it will be interesting to see who ends up being his men's doubles partner. I'm also interested to see if Bay Area pursues a top-level women's player in the free-agency draft. Parker and Bui are solid players, but would likely be a bottom-half women's duo this season (both were 9-15 in women's doubles on their respective teams in 2025).
LAS VEGAS NIGHT OWLS
Feb. 15 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Pablo Tellez from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Blaine Hovenier from SoCal.
- SoCal Hard Eights receive Ivan Jakovljevic and cash considerations from Bay Area.
Feb. 10 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Samantha Parker & cash considerations from Las Vegas and Ivan Jakovljevic from Carolina.
- Carolina Hogs receive Angie Walker & DJ Young from Bay Area and James Delgado & cash considerations from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Brandon French & Liz Truluck from Carlolina.
Feb. 6 trade
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Roscoe Bellamy and Samantha Parker.
- Dallas Flash receive cash
UPDATED ROSTER
Las Vegas Night Owls: Blaine Hovenier, Roscoe Bellamy, Brandon French, Liz Truluck, Brooke Buckner, Chao Yi Wang.
Las Vegas got a complete makeover on the men's side in the first offseason trade window, going from Pablo Tellez/James Delgado to Blaine Hovenier/Roscoe Bellamy as the likely starters. On the women's side they appear to be sticking with Buckner/Wang (pending keeper selections), who were great at the Challenger Level in 2025 but will be facing much tougher competition this year.
SOCAL HARD EIGHTS
Feb. 15 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Pablo Tellez from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Blaine Hovenier from SoCal.
- SoCal Hard Eights receive Ivan Jakovljevic and cash considerations from Bay Area.
UPDATED ROSTER
SoCal Hard Eights: John Lucian Goins, Ivan Jakovljevic, Jalina Ingram, Cailyn Campbell.
They dealt away arguably their best player in Hovenier, but picked up cash in the process. They have a lot of work to do in the free-agency draft if they want to be competitive this year.
CAROLINA HOGS
Feb. 10 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Samantha Parker & cash considerations from Las Vegas and Ivan Jakovljevic from Carolina.
- Carolina Hogs receive Angie Walker & DJ Young from Bay Area and James Delgado & cash considerations from Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Night Owls receive Brandon French & Liz Truluck from Carlolina.
UPDATED ROSTER
Carolina Hogs: Angie Walker, DJ Young, James Delgado, Ava Ignatowich, Craig Johnson.
The Hogs were one of the worst teams in the league last season, and unless they spend big on top-tier women in the free-agency draft, it's looking like they could struggle again in 2026. On the bright side, the possible men's doubles pairing of DJ Young and James Delgado is a very watchable duo -- both players are fiery and streaky, so they could beat anybody on a given day and also lose to anybody on a given day.
MIAMI PICKLEBALL CLUB
Feb. 6 trade
- Bay Area Breakers receive Mya Bui.
- Miami Pickleball Club receives Alix Truong.
Jan. 31 trade
- Atlanta Bouncers receive Jay Devilliers.
- Miami Pickleball Club receives Eric Roddy and cash.
UPDATED ROSTER
Miami Pickleball Club: Eric Roddy, Tammy Emmrich, Yuta Funemizu, Alix Truong, Juan Benitez, Tatiana Ruhl.
I'm guessing they got a pretty good chunk of cash in the Jay Devilliers trade, so I expect them to be very active in the free-agency draft. Funemizu has been having good results in men's doubles on the PPA Tour lately (he made the Round of 16 at the Masters and the quarterfinals at the Cape Coral Open), but he still struggles in mixed, although with the new lineup rules this season he wouldn't have to play mixed.
ATLANTA BOUNCERS
Feb. 1 trade
- Atlanta Bouncers receive Kaitlyn Christian.
- Texas Ranchers receive Victoria DiMuzio and cash.
Jan. 31 trade
- Atlanta Bouncers receive Jay Devilliers.
- Miami Pickleball Club receives Eric Roddy and cash.
UPDATED ROSTER
Atlanta Bouncers: Jaume Martinez Vich, Jay Devilliers, Kaitlyn Christian, Rachel Rettger.
Atlanta definitely got better in the first offseason trade window, and they have a good core to build on now. They still need another starting women's player and they gave up cash in both of the trades they made, so it will be interesting to see how aggressive they are in the free-agency draft.
TEXAS RANCHERS
Feb. 1 trade
- Atlanta Bouncers receive Kaitlyn Christian.
- Texas Ranchers receive Victoria DiMuzio and cash.
Feb. 6 transaction
- Palm Beach Royals receive Tina Pisnik.
- Texas Ranchers receive cash.
Note: Texas was involved in another trade with the California Black Bears that would have gotten them Layne Sleeth, but that trade was later reversed "due to a miscommunication and misunderstanding around keeper eligibility," according to the league.
UPDATED ROSTER
Texas Ranchers: Christian Alshon, Eric Oncins, Victoria DiMuzio, Felicity Di Laura, Wyatt Stone.
Texas picked up cash in both trades, so they might be in a good position to be aggressive in the free-agency draft. There's also the outstanding question of what they will do with Alshon. It's no secret that Alshon wasn't exactly vibing with team management toward the end of 2025, so it will be interesting to see if the Ranchers stick with him as their top player moving forward.
PALM BEACH ROYALS
Feb. 15 transaction
- Palm Beach Royals receive Dekel Bar
- Brooklyn Pickleball Team receives cash considerations
Feb. 6 transaction
- Palm Beach Royals receive Tina Pisnik.
- Texas Ranchers receive cash.
Feb. 5 transaction
- Palm Beach Royals acquire free agent and recent UPA signee Sofia Sewing. Her draft points value is 80,000 for 2026 and, if kept, 2027 and 2028.
UPDATED ROSTER
Palm Beach Royals: Dekel Bar, Tina Pisnik, Sofia Sewing.
The Royals (an expansion franchise playing in their first season) are off to a good start and appear to have a win-now mentality heading into 2026. I expect them to be one of the most aggressive teams in the free-agency draft, and they will likely be eying another top men's player as their first pick.
BROOKLYN PICKLEBALL TEAM
Feb. 15 transaction
- Palm Beach Royals receive Dekel Bar
- Brooklyn Pickleball Team receives cash considerations
UPDATED ROSTER
Brooklyn Pickleball Team: Riley Newman, Rachel Rohrabacher, Pat Smith, Hannah Blatt, Jackie Kawamoto.
It's possible Brooklyn was planning to drop Bar anyway, so in this case they get some cash in exchange that they can now use in the free-agency draft.
CHICAGO SLICE
Jan. 31 trade
- Chicago Slice receive Zane Navratil.
- New Jersey 5s receive cash.
Jan. 30 trade
- Los Angeles Mad Drops receive Max Freeman.
- Chicago Slice receive Hunter Johnson and cash.
UPDATED ROSTERS
Chicago Slice: Hunter Johnson, Zane Navratil, Callie Smith, Carlos Di Laura, Pierina Imparato.
New Jersey 5s: Anna Leigh Waters, Will Howells, Meghan Dizon, Noe Khlif, Mari Humberg.
The Slice had a lot of work to do after two of their starters -- James Ignatowich and Vivian Glozman -- had their contacts terminated by the UPA last month. Their plan seems to be taking shape, as they now have two decent men's players who could start in 2026. They likely will still be looking to add a strong women's player, though.
For the 5s, this move makes a lot of sense. They probably were going to drop Navratil anyway, so this way they at least get some cash for him.
LOS ANGELES MAD DROPS
Jan. 30 trade
- Los Angeles Mad Drops receive Max Freeman.
- Chicago Slice receive Hunter Johnson and cash.
UPDATED ROSTER
Los Angeles Mad Drops: Ben Johns, Max Freeman, Wes Burrows, Catherine Parenteau, Jade Kawamoto, Mehvish Safdar.
For Los Angeles, the trade means Ben Johns and Max Freeman will team up for the first time. The two were supposed to play at least one PPA Tour event together in 2025, but because Freeman's contract discussions took longer than anticipated, Johns ended up going with Gabe Tardio for most of his events in 2025 (that worked out OK).
Even with the downgrade in singles, the Mad Drops will likely be one of the favorites heading into the 2026 season, as they made the semifinals in 2025 after trading for Ben Johns at the trade deadline. The Slice did not make the playoffs in 2025.
