Major League Pickleball this week announced a new team event that will feature pro players representing several regions of the world at the inaugural MLP Nationals Cup this fall.

The event will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at Brookhaven Country Club outside of Dallas as part of the larger Pickleball World Championships.

The MLP Nations Cup will feature eight teams, with round-robin play on Friday and Saturday, followed by a single-elimination bracket on the event’s final day.

The teams will represent key pickleball markets from around the world: USA, Canada, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South America, Australia and two teams from Asia.

The event will serve as the official kickoff to the 2026 Pickleball World Championships, which will run over 10 days from Oct. 30-Nov. 8.

Last year the Pickleball World Championships set new attendance, participation and viewership records for pro pickleball.

The event drew a combined crowd of more than 60,000 and generated more than $1.1 million in ticket and hospitality revenue.

Nearly all 50 states were represented in the amateur ranks, which saw a record 4,400 total participants, including players from 38 countries competing in more than 6,000 matches throughout the week. Find more information about this year’s Pickleball World Championships here.
