The Kitchen recently updated our list of the current top 20 women's players who compete on the PPA Tour and in Major League Pickleball. To help us through the process, we collaborated with an anonymous women's pro player who regularly plays with and against many of the top players.

We wanted this list -- which our anonymous pro may or may not be on -- to reflect doubles ability only.

Because this is such a tough exercise, we set some general guidelines to help us make decisions:

- Gender doubles results carried more weight than mixed doubles results (about a 70-30 split).

- Ranking is based on 2025 results + vibes from our pro player consultant on who they would least like to see on their side of the draw in a tournament.

- PPA Tour results carried more weight than MLP results (again about a 70-30 split) due to the smaller sample size in MLP (1 game to 11 and not as many events).

Our ranking of the top 20 men's players -- which we made with the help of a men's pro -- can be found here.

The Kitchen's Top 20 Women's Players -- November 2025

↔️ 1. Anna Leigh Waters (previous ranking: No. 1) — It’s hard to find new things to say about the GOAT. Just when it looked like the field might be catching up earlier this spring, she switched partners in women’s doubles and stepped on the gas. She’s won a triple crown in her last three PPA Tour events and led the New Jersey 5s to another good MLP season.

↔️ 2. Anna Bright (previous ranking: No. 2) — You could make an argument for a couple different players here, but Bright has made it to 10 women’s doubles finals this season (6 golds with Waters and 4 silvers with Rachel Rohrabacher).

↔️ 3. Jorja Johnson (previous ranking: No. 3) — Her and brother JW Johnson are the next-best mixed doubles team outside of Ben Johns and Waters, and she also has three silvers and a gold medal in women's doubles since August. Bright's overall body of work in 2025 is slightly better in our opinion, but it's very close.

⬆️ 4. Tyra Black (previous ranking: No. 5) — She has hit the podium in 13 tournaments in women’s doubles this season (3 golds, 3 silvers, 7 bronze). She moves up a spot mostly due to her and Johnson beating Waters and Bright at the Las Vegas Open in late August.

⬇️ 5. Catherine Parenteau (previous ranking: No. 4) — The ultimate pro. She took the breakup of her and Waters in stride and has continued to post good results in the second half of the season. She has played in six tournaments since August, and made it to Sunday in all six tournaments (either playing in the final or playing for bronze in women's doubles).

↔️ 6. Rachel Rohrabacher (previous ranking: No. 6) -- She has made it to 8 finals in women's doubles this season, earning silver each time. She also has 2 bronze medals in women's doubles.

↔️ 7. Parris Todd (previous ranking: No. 7) -- She has played in 4 finals this season in women's doubles, winning once. She also has 5 bronze medals in women's doubles to this point in the season, and had a gold with Dekel Bar in mixed doubles in the spring.

⬆️ 8. Jade Kawamoto (previous ranking: No. 16) -- She has been playing extremely well lately -- in her last four events in women's doubles she has won gold with sister Jackie Kawamoto at the Cincinnati Showcase (one of the biggest events of the year), earned two bronze medals with Parenteau and finished fourth at the Pickleball World Championships with Rohrabacher. She's the biggest mover on this list.

⬇️ 9. Etta Tuionetoa (previous ranking: No. 8) -- She won the wooden paddle tournament in Sacramento in September and has made it to 2 other finals in women's doubles this season and 1 final in mixed doubles, earning silver each time.

⬆️ 10. Jackie Kawamoto (previous ranking: No. 11) -- Now has a gold and a bronze in women's doubles this season, but does not have any mixed medals.

⬇️ 11. Kate Fahey (previous ranking: No. 10)

⬇️ 12. Tina Pisnik (previous ranking: No. 9)

↔️ 13. Jessie Irvine (previous ranking: No. 13)

⬇️ 14. Meghan Dizon (previous ranking: No. 12)

⬇️ 15. Lacy Schneemann (previous ranking: No. 14)

⬇️ 16. Lea Jansen (previous ranking: No. 15)

⬆️ 17. Callie Smith (previous ranking: No. 18)

⬇️ 18. Allyce Jones (previous ranking: No. 17)

⬆️ 19. Mari Humberg (previous ranking: unranked)

↔️ 20. Zoey Wang (previous ranking: No. 20)

Notably absent: Alix Truong, Vivian Glozman, Lucy Kovalova, Vivienne David, Brooke Buckner, Mari Humberg, Mary Brascia, Maggie Brascia.
