PPA Tour 2026 Arizona Open: Draws, schedule and TV information
The PPA Tour heads back to the Phoenix area this week for the 2026 Arizona Open.
It’s the second time this year the pro tour has visited Arizona, as it held the Mesa Cup in February at Arizona Athletic Grounds, which has more than 40 dedicated courts and a covered stadium court.
This week’s Arizona Open is being held at the same facility. Pro qualifying took place Monday and main-draw matches will start on Tuesday, with one round in every division to be played each day through Championship Sunday. There are no bronze-medal matches in this event.
As an “Open” event, there are 1,000 ranking points on the line for the winners in each division this week.
A few notable players are skipping this event, including: Anna Bright, Jorja Johnson, Hayden Patriquin, Gabe Tardio and JW Johnson. With Bright out, Anna Leigh Waters is not playing women’s doubles, but she will play singles and mixed doubles.
Because of anticipated temperatures in the high 90s and low 100s, matches have been moved to the late afternoon/evening throughout the event.

Coverage on Pickleballtv begins at 5 p.m. ET each day, with dedicated time slots on FS1 and FS2 between 7-9 p.m. ET on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

New partnerships making their debut this week
There are several new partnerships in the draws this week. Here’s a look at a few of the most notable new duos in the field.
MEN’S DOUBLES
Ben Johns/Federico Staksrud: Both of their normal partners — Gabe Tardio and Hayden Patriquin — are skipping this event, so they’re teaming up as the No. 1 seed. Staksrud has been playing the right side in men’s doubles for much of 2026, so this should be a natural fit.
Cam Chaffin/CJ Klinger: This is a big spot for Chaffin, who is 15 years old and currently ranked No. 62 in the World Pickleball Rankings. Klinger is the highest-ranked men’s doubles partner Chaffin has played with, and that opportunity also comes with a lot of pressure to play well.
WOMEN’S DOUBLES
Tyra Black/Meghan Dizon: Black’s usual partner — Jorja Johnson — is taking the week off, so Dizon will replace her and likely play the right.
Catherine Parenteau/Sofia Sewing: These two made their debut together at the Pickleball National Championships in North Carolina earlier this month. They made it to the quarterfinals and lost to Parris Todd/Rachel Rohrabacher 12-10, 11-5.
MIXED DOUBLES
Jonathan Truong/Catherine Parenteau: Truong has been on a steady rise in 2026 in both men’s doubles and mixed doubles. He’s now up to No. 25 in the World Pickleball Rankings. A good result with Parenteau could lead to more Top 10 women’s partners in mixed moving forward.
