PPA Tour, Major League Pickleball experienced big growth in 2025
The PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball this week shared their 2025 business metrics, which indicated significant year-over-year growth in revenue, attendance, viewership, fan engagement and media coverage.
The Pickleball World Championships in Dallas (which also included the MLP Cup) generated more than $1.1 million alone in ticket and hospitality revenue, according to a news release.
The event — which was held in November at Brookhaven Country Club in the Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch — drew a combined crowd of more than 60,000 people, saw a record 4,400 total participants, and also set a record with more than 70 million minutes viewed on Pickleballtv during the 10-day event.

Fan Engagement: Social media impressions nearly doubled per event.
Viewership: Pickleballtv generated a 95% increase in minutes viewed per event.
Revenue: Ticket revenue saw a 33% increase per domestic event.
Attendance: Total attendance grew by 16% per domestic event.
Major League Pickleball year-over-year growth
Franchise valuations: MLP set new all-time league highs for multiple team valuations in 2025:

The Palm Beach Royals’ $16 million valuation set a new record for an MLP expansion franchise.
Revenue: Sponsorship revenue more than doubled 2024’s total, and ticket revenue jumped 94%.
Attendance: Total attendance grew by 52%.
Viewership: Linear distribution hours more than doubled, and Pickleballtv saw a 141% jump in minutes viewed.
Fan Engagement: YouTube views increased 230% and social media impressions showed 407% growth.
2025 MLP Playoffs
Viewership: CBS’s exclusive broadcast of the 2025 MLP Finals Match 1 between the New Jersey 5s and Columbus Sliders on Aug. 23 was MLP’s most-watched match ever and pickleball’s most-watched match since the February 2024 MLP-PPA merger, averaging 499,000 viewers (Nielsen Big Data).
Revenue & attendance: The 2025 MLP Playoffs generated 122% growth in ticket revenue and a 57% increase in total attendance compared to the same number of playoffs dates in 2024.
The first PPA Tour event of 2026 — the Masters in Palm Springs, California — starts next week. The 2025-26 season will conclude with the PPA Finals in San Clemente, California, May 4-10.
MLP’s 2026 season will begin in Dallas on May 22-26 and feature nine regular season events, the Mid-Season Tournament, and three weeks of the 2026 MLP Playoffs.
