The No. 1 men's singles and men's doubles player on the PPA Tour -- Federico Staksrud -- has officially joined adidas Pickleball, the company announced Monday.
The multi-year partnership includes the launch of his first signature paddle, which is expected to be released in April.
The move comes after a breakout season in which Staksrud won nine singles titles, five men's doubles titles and medaled in at least one division in all 24 PPA Tour events in 2024 while playing with a JOOLA paddle.
"Developing my own signature paddle with a brand renowned for its innovation and quality is an exciting opportunity," Staksrud said in a news release. "I’m thrilled to work with adidas to set a new standard in pickleball equipment and continue to inspire players around the world.”
That signature paddle, which "reflects Staksrud’s playing style and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in pickleball," marks a big step for adidas as it looks to become a major brand at the professional and amateur level.
Adidas Pickleball is one of five brands that have already been granted interim certification by the United Pickleball Association of America. There are currently four adidas paddles -- the MBS 16H, MBS 16E, MBS 14E (not pictured) and MB 16E -- that have been approved for play in PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball events in 2025.

"Federico Staksrud represents the pinnacle of what it means to be a champion," Bryan Ogle from adidas Pickleball said in the release. "As the No. 1 men’s player in the world, his dedication to the sport, relentless pursuit of excellence and unmatched passion for pickleball make him the perfect addition to the adidas pickleball family. This partnership not only affirms adidas’ commitment to the growth of pickleball but also highlights our belief in supporting elite athletes who inspire others."
After making the finals of all three events at the PPA Masters earlier this month, Staksrud secured the top ranking in men's doubles, moving ahead of Ben Johns and Collin Johns.
He joins Rafa Hewett on adidas' roster of PPA Tour pros.
Staksrud will not be competing at next week’s Australia Pickleball Open, so fans will get to see him play with an adidas paddle for the first time at the Proton Tucson Open, which is Feb. 5-9.
