Major League Pickleball New York: Pools, schedule and viewing guide
Major League Pickleball is heading back to Sportime Randall’s Island in New York, New York, this week. It’s the second straight year the massive tennis facility has hosted an MLP event.
The event — hosted by the Brooklyn Pickleball Team — starts Thursday and runs through Sunday. There are 11 teams in the field this week:
Group A: Chicago Slice, Las Vegas Night Owls, New Jersey 5s, SoCal Hard Eights, Texas Ranchers.
Group B: Bay Area Breakers, Brooklyn Pickleball Team, Carolina Hogs, Dallas Flash, Florida Smash, Palm Beach Royals.
Several teams will be debuting new lineups this week after making recent roster moves. Bolded names = new to team.
Chicago Slice: Zane Navratil, John Lucian Goins, AJ Koller, Ting Chieh Wei, Jalina Ingram, Elsie Hendershot.
Las Vegas Night Owls: Roscoe Bellamy, Clayton Powell, Braden Jacobson, Callie Smith, Chao Yi Wang, Liz Truluck.
Texas Ranchers: Eric Oncins, Nico Acevedo, Rafa Hewett, Lea Jansen, Layne Sleeth, Kaitlyn Christian.
Bay Area Breakers: Pablo Tellez, Blaine Hovenier, Len Yang, Genie Erokhina, Ella Yeh, Mya Bui.
Dallas Flash: JW Johnson, Augie Ge, Ivan Jakovljevic, Danni-Elle Townsend, Alix Truong, Brooke Buckner.
Palm Beach Royals: Dekel Bar, Tyson McGuffin, Casey Diamond, Grayson Goldin (IR), Tina Pisnik, Sofia Sewing, Tamaryn Emmrich.
