Movie star Ryan Reynolds teaming up with Warner Bros. to open Hollywood pickleball courts
Movie star Ryan Reynolds is rumored to be teaming up with Warner Bros. to convert several stages on the Warner Bros. property in Hollywood into pickleball courts.
The “Maximum Effort Pickleball” venture is aimed at driving revenue by utilizing underused studio space.
“When life gives you a production slowdown, you build a pickleball empire,” Reynolds said in a teaser video posted to Instagram.

The courts will supposedly have different movie themes, from sci-fi to noir, and will host celebrity tournaments, fan events and corporate league nights. Warner Bros. plans to rent out the stages by the hour and offer VIP packages, including Reynolds-narrated warm-up sessions.
Some have joked that Deadpool 3 might be delayed again due to Reynolds’ “court time.”
“It’s weird, it’s fun, and it might just work,” said entertainment strategist Mia Clarkson. “Which also happens to describe Ryan Reynolds perfectly.”
