The top 20 men's singles pickleball players, ranked by The Kitchen

With 2025 coming to a close, The Kitchen staff put our heads together -- with the help of an anonymous pro -- to come up with a list of the Top 20 men's singles players who compete on the PPA Tour.

Because men's singles is widely considered the deepest division top to bottom, we set some general guidelines to help us make some very tough decisions:

- Ranking is based on 2025 results + vibes from our pro player consultant on who they would least like to see on their side of the draw in a tournament.

- Medals mean more than points. This is where our list differs from the official PPA Tour points standings. If Player A consistently makes "good" runs but rarely gets past the quarterfinals, while Player B is less consistent but has better "peak" weeks, we give the edge to Player B.

- A win in a "Slam" carries more weight than a win in a "Cup" or "Open" event, similar to other individual sports like golf or tennis.

Our ranking of the top 20 women's singles players -- which we made with the help of a women's pro -- can be found here.

The Kitchen's Top 20 men's singles players - November 2025

1. Federico Staksrud - If we had done this ranking three months ago, Staksrud would not have been No. 1. But he finished the year strong, winning the Pickleball World Championships in Dallas, the Las Vegas Cup and the wooden paddle tournament in Sacramento. He now has the most gold medals of anybody this season with four, as well as three silvers and two bronze medals. Two of his wins were in Slams.

2. Christopher Haworth - He signed with the PPA late this summer, but has still managed to win two gold medals, one silver and one bronze in fewer events than any of the other players on this list. He also won the $50,000 LT Open in October.

3. Hunter Johnson - He started the year strong, with three golds in his first nine tournaments of the season, but hasn't found the top of the podium since June. He also has two silvers and four bronze medals on the year.

4. Christian Alshon - It's always been clear that Alshon had the talent to be a Top 5 singles player, and it finally clicked this season. He won his first singles gold medal at the Cape Coral Open in March, then backed it up with two more titles at the Texas Open and Cincinnati Showcase (a Slam). He also has two silvers and a bronze on the year.

5. Connor Garnett - He's Mr. Consistent, almost always making it to the semifinals or quarterfinals, but has yet to break through to win an event in 2025. He has two silvers and two bronze medals on the year.

6. Jaume Martinez Vich - Has just as much hardware as Garnett -- two silvers and two bronze medals -- but doesn't quite have the same consistency week-to-week.

7. John Lucian Goins - He got back-to-back wins in Bristol and Las Vegas in late summer, but hasn't found the podium since. His only other medal was a bronze at the Cape Coral Open in the spring.

8. Jack Sock - He's clearly made a jump from Year 1 to Year 2 on tour, but still only has one second-place finish this season.

9. Roscoe Bellamy - Got big wins over Hunter Johnson, Gabriel Joseph and Christian Alshon on his way to a silver at the Las Vegas Cup in October. Also took second at the North Carolina Open in April.

10. Gabriel Joseph - Like Bellamy, he has two silver medals on the year, but the recent head-to-head matchup gives Bellamy a slight edge.
