With 2025 coming to a close, The Kitchen staff put our heads together -- with the help of an anonymous pro -- to come up with a list of the Top 20 women's singles players who compete on the PPA Tour.
We set some general guidelines to help us make some very tough decisions:
- Ranking is based on 2025 results + vibes from our pro player consultant on who they would least like to see on their side of the draw in a tournament.
- Medals mean more than points. This is where our list differs from the official PPA Tour points standings. If Player A consistently makes "good" runs but rarely gets past the quarterfinals, while Player B is less consistent but has better "peak" weeks, we give the edge to Player B.
- A win in a "Slam" carries more weight than a win in a "Cup" or "Open" event, similar to other individual sports like golf or tennis.
Our ranking of the top 20 men's singles players -- which we made with the help of a men's pro -- can be found here.

1. Anna Leigh Waters - It's not close at the top of women's singles. Waters has 11 gold medals and counting this season, and hasn't lost in more than 500 days as of this writing.
2. Kate Fahey - Has established herself as the clear No. 2, making it to seven finals in 2025 -- she has two golds (in events that Waters didn't play), five silvers and four bronze medals.
3. Kaitlyn Christian - There was a time earlier this year when she was making a case for the No. 2 spot, but Fahey has separated late in the year. Still, Christian has had a great season, with two wins (in events that Waters didn't play) and three second-place finishes.
4. Parris Todd - 2025 has been by far her best season on the PPA Tour, with two gold medals (in events that Waters didn't play), three silvers and one bronze.
5. Brooke Buckner - Has had a solid season with two silvers and three bronze medals, but is still looking for her first title of the season and running out of time to get it.
6. Lea Jansen - She hasn't made it to as many finals as she did in 2023 and 2024, but she's still consistently making it to semifinals and quarterfinals. She has one silver and four bronze medals on the year.
7. Genie Bouchard - Her two silver medals on the season (and of her career) have both come in the past two months. It will be interesting to see if she can become a regular medal contender in 2026.
8. Catherine Parenteau - Two of her three medals this season (one silver, two bronze) came in the first half of the year. But she's still consistently making it to the quarterfinals or better.
9. Judit Castillo - She's only played in eight events, so she's outside the Top 10 in the PPA Tour points standings, but she does have one bronze medal -- making her the last player on this list with a medal in 2025.
10. Mary Brascia - If she doesn't hit the podium by the end of the year, it will be the first time since 2022 that she'll go a whole season without a medal. But she's still a regular in the Round of 16 and quarterfinals.
