JOOLA releases new pickleball paddle line geared toward intermediate players

JOOLA has been a big player at the game’s highest level for several years, making premium paddles that are often the choice of many pros and thousands of amateurs who play at the highest levels competitively.
This week, the brand released a new line of paddles under the Play With Vision campaign. The tagline “Play With Vision” is the expression JOOLA headlines the campaign with, and it serves as the connective tissue for the core idea and the Vision products themselves -- to develop paddles that grow with you and your game, and remind us that the spirit of the sport is stronger when everyone plays their own way.
The new Vision line features 7 different models in multiple colorways — all falling into the $89.95-$119.95 price range.
Here's a look at the tech behind the new releases, and what type of player would be best suited for each model:
VISION (Shop now, $89.95)
Available exclusively on JOOLA's website, the Vision model comes in the Hyperion shape, which features JOOLA's familiar Aero-Curve design.
This 16mm paddle is designed for players who prioritize precision and spin. It is constructed using a cold-pressed layering process and a textured carbon fiber surface.
HEAT VISION (Shop now, $99.95)
Comes in 3 shapes: Agassi, Perseus and Scorpeus. Each model is constructed using JOOLA’s latest thermoforming process that is meant to enhance stability and flexibility while delivering more power and durability. It also has what JOOLA calls an SK Film placed between the carbon fiber surface and core to improve vibration dampening.
Each model also comes in three colorways: Blaze Red, Surge Green and JOOLA Yellow.
Agassi -- Designed in conjunction with tennis legend Andre Agassi, this shape is perfect for players who are transitioning from tennis and carry over a two-handed backhand with them.
Perseus -- This shape delivers the most power, and the elongated paddle face helps players take more balls out of the air at the kitchen line.
Scorpeus -- The widebody paddle shape is built for defensive-minded players and also excels in fast hands battles at the kitchen line.
DOUBLE VISION (Shop now, $119.95)
Comes in three shapes: Hyperion, Perseus and Scorpeus. The powerhouse of the collection, Double Vision paddles combine exceptional power with plush cushioning. The new aramid surface material increases impact resistance while providing a softer feel, longer dwell time and great control. This model also features the SK Film and is constructed with the same thermoforming process as the Heat Vision paddles.
