7 upcoming pickleball paddle releases we’re excited about

Things have been busy in the pickleball paddle industry over the past few weeks, with several new releases from some of the biggest brands in the sport. And there’s no sign of that trend slowing down, with even more new paddles set to be released in the coming weeks and months.
Below are seven intriguing paddles we’ve heard about that are scheduled to be released this fall, some of which are already getting a ton of hype.
You can expect us to have full reviews on these paddles closer to the actual release dates, but for now we’ll share what we know about them.

RPM Jade has the paddle community buzzing
Release date: Now available for pre-order, expected to ship early October.
What we know: The hype machine is in overdrive for this paddle. The Jade features RPM’s first MPP foam core and a new durable grit surface that is touted to hold up even after several months of heavy play. We’ve had ours for a couple weeks (review coming soon!), and have been extremely impressed with how it plays.

JOOLA releasing first full-foam paddle later this month
Release date: Sept. 30
What we know: It’s called the POWER FX, and it lives up to its name. Our crew had a chance to demo this paddle at the JOOLA Pickleball Celebration event in Orlando recently, and in our limited time with it the power definitely stood out. Learn more about the development of the POWER FX here.

Holbrook releasing updated Fuze model with durable grit
Release date: Oct. 14
What we know: It’s going to be called the Fuze VantaGrit and will feature Holbrook’s new durable grit surface with the same “Dual-Density” core that has made the Fuze the brand’s most popular paddle ever. This is another model we have had in hand for a few weeks, and early testing has us very excited about this paddle. It delivers more spin than the original Fuze while maintaining the high power and pop of the original.

Enhance MPP Turbo with ArmorGrit coming next month
Release date: Oct. 5
What we know: The MPP Turbo is arguably the best value proposition in pickleball right now, and now it’s going to be released with a new durable grit surface developed by Enhance. And it’ll still be $119.99, which is a crazy good deal.

Other upcoming releases from major brands
There are a few other paddles that are coming this fall that we only know a little bit about at this point.
UNRELEASED PIKKL/PADDLETEK
Pro players JW and Jorja Johnson have been using an unreleased paddle with PIKKL branding on it for the past few months. We’ve heard this is actually going to be released as a Paddletek model later this fall (Paddletek acquired PIKKL in July).

UPDATED PROTON SERIES ONE
The Series One paddle is what originally put Proton on the map a few years ago. It was made with the company’s unique “Nanotac” surface that feels rubber-like and is smooth to the touch. They’ve been working on a new core for the Series One model and we’ve heard it’s expected to launch sometime this year, although an exact release date hasn’t been made public.

UNRELEASED FRANKLIN
Several Franklin-sponsored pros, including Anna Leigh Waters, have switched to a new paddle that just has a “?” on it. This is the one we know the least about, as Franklin has been very hush-hush about the details. Stay tuned — we expect to learn more in the next month or so.
